From the Office of
     the Executive Director

Is America being attacked … again?

Dear Prayer Team Member:

Like you, our newsroom was in shock on Monday as we learned of the terror bombings in Boston at the Marathon finish line. How can these things continue happening in America? But, if you spend just five minutes watching or listening to the news … it will be clear to you that America is in a real mess. The budget crisis, saber-rattling from North Korea, rising fuel and health care costs, and the ongoing battle over our core values are just some of the issues confronting us as a nation.

At the end of a presidential debate in October, 1980, candidate Ronald Reagan turned to the camera and posed this question:

“Ask yourself: Are you better off than you were four years ago? Is it easier for you to go and buy things in the stores than it was four years ago? Is there more or less unemployment in the country than there was four years ago?Is America as respected throughout the world as it was?Do you feel that our security is as safe, that we’re as strong as we were four years ago?”

Now, 33 years later, Americans are asking the same questions as many find themselves in a storm of mistrust, trying to find any truth to anchor their lives to. Others are ignoring the problems, expecting the nation’s difficulties to fix themselves.

We routinely receive heartfelt letters and emails of concern from our members who admit, for the first time, that they are really frightened for America. Of course, as Christians, we have hope in Christ’s return someday … but until then — we have work to do in praying for our nation and its leaders — because God asks us to be consistent and persistent in prayer.

In just a few weeks, we’ll be celebrating the National Day of Prayer. On Thursday, May 2, millions will pause throughout the day to pray for America, its leaders and those serving in the military. As we do every year, your Prayer Team will provide churches and our members with promotional assistance, valuable prayer guides and other vital tools, including a virtual “prayer room” where members can pray with others from coast to coast.  I Pray Radio (IPrayRadio.com) will broadcast to millions, the united prayers for America from our members.

You can have a vital part in this significant day.  Your financial support of this ministry helps us provide these annual special outreaches — as well as pay for the research, writing, technical support and distribution of all you regularly see in your emails and on our website.

Will you prayerfully consider helping us with a special gift TODAY? We need you to stand in prayer for America and her leaders, shoulder to shoulder with thousands of others in calling America back to God.

YES — I want to see my best gift provide the needed resources to encourage and inform Americans to pray for our nation and its leaders. [Click Here]
